Eliza’s love of Scandi design influenced this beautiful room for her daughter, Saffron Autumn. Saffron is now 4, but the space was created for her when she turned 2 and transitioned into a “big girl bed”…
Tell us a bit about you:
I’m Eliza, owner and creator at Arabella + Autumn. I am a mum of soon-to-be four little ones, and I have a love of interior design, particularly children’s décor, with a Scandinavian theme.
How would you describe your overall style?
Saffron’s room was created with my love of Scandi design in mind. I wanted raw timber, pale pink, gold and grey.
Where is your favourite place to shop for kid’s décor?
I love sourcing unique and different things from other handmaidens. I use Instagram and Pinterest quite a bit!
What did you save on / get for a bargain or DIY?
The biggest bargain was probably Saffron’s bed. Some of the ones we had seen were very poor quality, quite expensive and shipping costs made them not an option. A good friend of ours is a chippy… I explained what we wanted, and he made it the perfect size to fit the space and it is so sturdy and well made.
What item was your biggest splurge?
Our biggest splurge was probably all the little decorating bits and pieces – you think you’re not spending much, but they soon add up. Oh, and the gorgeous deer hide!
