Take a peek into this beautiful wood and white nursery mum-of-three Mare has created for her youngest, Oliver (who, incidentally, turns 1 TODAY!) Along with the clean lines and neutral accents, we’re SO in love with the stunning birch tree feature wall…
Tell us a bit about you?
Currently I am on maternity leave for another two weeks then I will be returning to my full time administration officer position.
I am a mother to three amazing kids (daughter is 6, and in grade one, a 3-year-old son, and then my 11 month old). I am now complete with my big family.
I love handmade, local Australian products, and I’m totally obsessed with Instagram and all the amazing things it has to offer. I love to feature them in all three of my childrens’ rooms. I have always had a passion of photographing things, so Instagram has really brought that passion to life and given me a reason to be able to continuously take photos of things that surround me in my home.
How would you describe your overall style?
My style at home is mainly neutral. I love wood and white. I wouldn’t call it Scandi, but in some parts it does have that feel.
What “look” or theme did you set out to achieve with your child’s room?
My favourite room by far is the nursery. I always wanted a woodland theme, and I am totally obsessed with the birch tree wallpaper. It’s something I’ve always wanted in a nursery and finally, third time round, I got to put it in. And that was my bargain buy, too – I found it on eBay.
Where is your favourite place to shop for kid’s decor?
I have a lot of favorite Instagram businesses that I love to buy from, so there’s not one particular one that is my favorite. They all offer something that I love and need at the time.
How long did it take to put it all together?
The nursery is still not complete! And I don’t think with any of the kids rooms I will ever be done – there’s always something new I find and want to add all the time. And I definitely love change, so when I get bored I like to change things up.
